Our new mobile friendly content portal was designed primarily as a web app. Research showed that consumers were starting to use tablet computers. We wanted it to look fantastic on a tablet and take full advantage of that form factor.
What We Did
We developed a web-based version of our mobile portal interface specific for the tablet interface. It had pop in/out navigation from the side with a clean grid navigation.
Tablet traffic became a major source for engagement of the portal not just for content add-sponsored viewing but for game downloads and search revenue.
