Elementor #7

My name is Nathan Rohm and I currently live in the Pacific Northwest.

I’ve worked at large and small companies including Expedia, InfoSpace, Comcast, eNom, and more, mostly doing product management and marketing management. I’ve also been a part of a few startups over the years including CoachPlace.com. I’ve been blessed to work with some amazing product teams which have delivered some solid wins that I’m proud of. I’ve also learned a few hard-earned lessons that I bring to every challenge.

What I Do

When I describe product management to my mom, I explain that a product manager is there to help us take the resources we have and build the right things for the right audience at the right time. I’m also there to do whatever it takes to make sure everyone feels connected and informed while avoiding any disasters.

Collaborating

I love product management because I get to work with people across the whole organization to move us forward. At the same time, I am able to get out in the field and see the impact of what we do for customers and partners.

Innovating

I’m motivated to tackle big challenges and opportunities, and I totally geek out when exploring the possibilities of new technologies. I find product management lets me feed my curiosity while providing a path to grow as a professional every day.

The safest way to observe an eclipse… we were told

Taking Ownership

Over the course of my career, I’ve had the opportunity to conceive, build, and launch many new initiatives from end-to-end. These include all new products, rewrites of old systems, enhancements of existing solutions, and extensions into new markets.

Team Building

I’ve also had the opportunity to build teams from the ground up including hiring, coaching, and mentoring product managers, designers, and engineers from a variety of backgrounds and experiences. I’m passionate about empowering people to reach their full potential [in their own unique way] as they achieve solid wins for the organization.

Fostering A Growth Mindset

Of course, I know that every product is different, every company has its nuances, every technology is consistently evolving, and every market is constantly changing. So while I’ve learned lessons along the way, I know that it is critical to bring a fresh perspective and an open mind to every new challenge.

Other Interests

In my spare time, I enjoy hiking, skiing, and photography. I also like to tinker with technology a bit. In our personal time, my family loves to go on adventures in nature together. Here is a link to a few of our favorite day trips around the Pacific Northwest if you are looking for something fun (and easy) to do this weekend! I also enjoy photography.
